Code of conduct

Code of conduct

This code applies to everyone at the event: attendees, speakers, sponsors, volunteers, and staff. It is enforced.

Purpose

This conference exists so practitioners can share working knowledge. Everyone here — attendees, speakers, sponsors, volunteers, staff — is responsible for keeping it a place where that can happen.

Expected behaviour

Be specific and honest in sessions. Listen to the question being asked. Credit the work of people who are not in the room. Respect session capacity and accessibility needs.

Unacceptable behaviour

Harassment of any kind, including on gender, sexual orientation, disability, race, ethnicity, religion, age, or appearance. Disruptive behaviour in sessions. Unwelcome physical or verbal attention. We act on reports, not on the severity a bystander perceives.

Reporting

Report to any staff member, the contact page, or the dedicated conduct contact listed in your badge. Reports are read by the conduct team only. We respond within the same day during the event.

Consequences

We may remove someone from a session, a day, or the whole event without refund. Serious incidents may be reported to venue security or local authorities. The decision is the conduct team’s and is final.
